Dominik Irnich is chief resident physician at the Clinic for Anaesthesiology and the head of the Interdisciplinary Pain Section at the University of Munich Hospital. He trained in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine at the WHO Collaborating Center for TCM in Beijing. Since 1997 he has been a lecturer at the German Medical Society for Acupuncture, whose scientific centre he manages. His research work on the subject of pain, natural healing, and acupuncture has earned him national and international honours. He is the publisher of a journal for complementary medicine, and as the author of many international publications, he receives invitations to lecture from around the world.
