Gabriel Looser, PhD, born in 1948, was educated in Christian theology and humanistic psychology. Inspired by Tibetan lamas, a Sufi master, shamans and other teachers, he spent 12 years working in hospitals and nursing homes as a companion and spiritual adviser to the ill and dying. He now works in adult education and is head of the Gabriel Looser Institute in Bern, where he advises, teaches and gives seminars. Read more at
