After completing his studies in biology (with a specialty in plant ecology) at the University of Hohenheim followed by a research position, Wolfgang Ansel has been executive director of the Deutscher Dachgärtner Verband e.V. since 2004. He is the author of various specialist books on the subject of the greening of the roof, regularly publishes articles in the specialist press, and is active as a lecturer in Germany and abroad.
