Gabrielle Hamilton ist Besitzerin und Chefköchin des Restaurants Prune im East Village von New York. Sie studierte Literatur an der University of Michigan, veröffentlicht hat Hamilton u.a. in The New Yorker, The New York Times, GQ und sechs Bänden von Best Food Writing. Derzeit lebt sie mit ihren beiden Söhnen in Manhattan.
