A strong woman, a loyal cat, a goddess wanting revenge
Bubastis, 6th century B.C. Storyteller Mina has been becoming more and more withdrawn since the death of her husband, until one night a little cat saves her life. She calls it Bastet, after the mighty cat goddess of fertility and love, and from now on Bastet comes to see her every night. With Bastet's visits, Mina's life miraculously seems to change: The Persian Numi, once an enemy of the family, becomes a friend.
Then Bastet disappears, and with her all the cats in the town. Mina will not believe what the rumours say, that the goddess Bastet is demanding a cruel sacrifice. Mina courageously sets off to look for her feline friend – a search that involves unheard-of dangers.
